GAY Mrs. Roxanna Turner Gay, 95, a resident of 310 S. Main St., died at 12:35 p.m. Sunday in a Suffolk nursing home. A native of Isle of Wight County, she was a daughter of William L. and Mrs. Dinwiddie Howell Turner. She was a member of Suffolk Christian Church, the West Memorial Bible Class and Woman's Fellowship of the church. She was also the oldest member of Sinai Chapter 18, Order of Eastern Star. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Texanna Gay Williams of Suffolk; a son, William S. Gay Jr. of Blacksburg; a brother, Z. Turner of Suffolk; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in I.O. Hill & Company Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert B. Marr. Burial will be in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery, Isle of Wight County. Henry P. & Sarah/Susan (TAYLOR) HOWELL, are buried in Portlock Cemetery, Oak Grove Cemetery, Portsmouth. E, 9th VA Infantry, 27 May - 28 Nov 1861.
