Silas Gay 

  PORTSMOUTH - Silas Mack Gay, 65, of 175 Hatton St., a native of Isle of Wight 
County, died Tuesday in a hospital. 

  He was the son of the late Clarence Homer Gay and Mrs. Odie Griggs Gay. 

  He had retired from Youman's Construction Co. as a carpenter. 

  Survivors include two brothers, Lilton R. Gay and Homer Grady Gay, both of 
Suffolk. 

  The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Sidney F. Harrell Funeral 
Home by Dr. R.E. Brittle.  Burial will be in Antioch Christian Church 
Cemetery, Windsor. 

  The family will be at 306 Elizabeth St., Suffolk.

  A funeral service for Silas Mack Gay, 65, was held Friday at 11 a.m. in 
Antioch Christian Church Cemetery by Dr. R.E. Brittle. 

  Pallbearers were Randolph Gardner, Leslie Spiers, J. Richard Brown, William 
H. Felton Sr., and Fred M. Minchew.  Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home was in 
charge.
