LOUISE ROSE GOODRICH

   SMITHFIELD  -  Louise Rose Goodrich, 58, of Route 2, died Nov. 22, in a 
Newport News hospital.

   Mrs. Goodrich, a native of Surry County, was a member of Mill Swamp Baptist 
Church in Ivor.

   Survivors include her husband, Ernest C. Goodrich III; three daughters, 
Joanne L. Everett of Ivor, Nancy Carroll Phillips of Newport News, and Peggy 
Louise Butler of Portsmouth; four sons, Ernie J. Goodrich of Smithfield, 
Ernest J.W. Goodrich of Newport News, Melvin Lee Drewry of Surry and Derrick 
David Drewry of Florida; her mother, Minnie H. Logan of Elberon; four sisters, 
Helen L. Parson of Waverly, Frances L. Appell of Surry, Margie L. Fowler of 
Trinity, N.C., and Edith L. Kimberlin of Pacifica, Calif.; a brother, Gilbert 
F. Logan of Richmond; and nine grandchildren.

   The funeral was conducted Wednesday in Colonial Funeral Home Chapel by the 
Rev. Donald R. Rhoton.  Burial was in Mill Swamp Cemetery, in Ivor.

   Memorial donations may be made to Isle of Wight County Volunteer Rescue 
Squad.
