JOHN WILLIAM GRAY 

Suffolk, Va., Sept 15 - John William Gray, a Confederate veteran and prominent 
citizen of Smithfield, Va., died at 10 o'clock tonight.  He was about seventy-
three years old*.  Four daughters and two sons survive him. 


John William GRAY, of Smithfield, Confederate veteran, 
b. 28 May 1833, d. 14 Sep 1904*, 
interred in Ivy Hill Cemetery*, Smithfield, 
"The Times-Dispatch" (Richmond, VA) Sep. 16, 1904
