Katie Gray 

  SMITHFIELD -- Katie Sadler Gray, 86, of Rt. 2 in Ivor, died March 21, 1988, 
in a Norfolk hospital.  A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the widow 
of Edwin W. Gray. 

  She was a graduate of Suffolk High School, and a 1931 graduate of Lakeview 
Nursing School.  She was a member of Antioch Christian Church. 

  Survivors include two sisters, Augusta Sadler Webb of Graham, N.C., and 
Gladys Sadler Hathaway of Portsmouth; and 25 nieces and nephews. 

  The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Colonial Funeral Home 
Chapel, Smithfield, by the Rev. Mark Buckner.  Burial will be in Crocker 
Family Cemetery.  The family will meet today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the 
funeral home.
