He was the son of the late William Henry and Mrs. Martha Butler Griffin of Isle of Wight County and husband of Mrs. Virginia Spivey Griffin. Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. R.A. Gay of Suffolk and Mrs. L.R. Brinkley of Richmond; two sons, William Curtis Griffin of Windsor, and James Turner Griffin of Denver, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was a retired carpenter and member of Pine Grove Assembly of God Church in Windsor. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. J. Robert Bennett, pastor of Berea Christian Church, Driver, and the Rev. James Hughes, pastor of the Church of God. Baker and Co. Funeral Home. Griffin died Wednesday. The Rev. J. Robert Benneth, pastor of Berea Christian Church, Driver, and the Rev. James Hughes, pastor of Church of God, Suffolk, officiated. Burial was in Antioch Christian Church cemetery in Isle of Wight County. Pallbearers were Douglas Griffin, Robert Butler, Frank Brown Sr., Jeff Jones, William O'Berry and Graham White.
