LINDA GAIL KING GARDNER 

CARRSVILLE, VA. - Linda Gail Gardner, 31, of Route 1, a licensed practical 
nurse, died Sept. 15, 1989, in a Norfolk hospital.

  Mrs. Gardner, a native of Portsmouth, had been employed by Southampton 
Memorial Hospital for four years.

  Survivors include her husband, Robert M. Gardner; a daughter, Lisa M. 
Gardner of Carrsville; her parents Sudrey M. Stubbs of Zuni and Dick King 
Jr. of Portsmouth; three sisters, Carolyn S. King of Virginia Beach, and 
Mindie Morgan and Nina Tric, both of Portsmouth; three brothers, E. Carl 
Stubbs Jr. of Zuni, and Jason King and Jamie King, both of Portsmouth; and 
her paternal grandmother, Claire King of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

  The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral 
Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. Richard Peerey.  Burial will be in Beaver Dam 
Baptist Church Cemetery, Carrsville.  Friends may join the family from 6 to 
8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

  Memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Rescue Squad.
