Mrs. Lula S. Garner Died April 29th 

  Lynchburg - Mrs. Lula Spivey Garner, 69, died April 29th at 8:30 o'clock PM 
at the home of a son, J.B. Garner, in Lynchburg after a long illness.  She was 
the wife of Samuel O. Garner. 

  Mrs. Garner was a native of Isle of Wight County and was the daughter of the 
late Richard and Mrs. Lucy Barnett Spivey.  She was a member of the Isle of 
Wight Christian Church. 

  Survivors include two sons, Jasper B. and Carter L. Garner of Lynchburg; two 
daughters, Mrs. W.H. Mathews of Chuckatuck and Mrs. J.L. Griffin; a brother, 
Arthur H. Spivey of Dendron; and two sisters, Mrs. J.R. Hart and Mrs. W.R. 
Hall of Windsor. 

  Funeral services were held at Uzzell's Methodist Church.
