LIZZIE CARROLL ROBERTSON HATFIELD 

    Mrs. Lizzie Robertson Hatfield, 63, a well-known resident of the Zuni 
community, died Sunday morning, September 26, at her home after an illness 
of eighteen months.

   Mrs. Hatfield was the daughter of the late Charles Carroll and Lina 
Stephenson Robertson of Isle of Wight County, and the wife of William Arthur 
Hatfield of Zuni.  She was a member of Central Hill Baptist Church in Isle of 
Wight County.

   Beside her husband, she is survived by one son, Spurgeon Hatfield of Zuni; 
a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Hatfield Turner of Windsor; five grandchildren; a 
sister, Mrs. Louise Robertson Powell of Newark, N.J.; two brothers, Charlie 
and Rosser Robertson of Windsor; and a number of nieces and nephews.

   Funeral services for Mrs. Hatfield were held at three o'clock Tuesday 
afternoon at Mt. Carmel Christian Church, her pastor, Rev. Thomas N. Tombs, 
officiating assisted by Rev. J. Frank Morgan of Windsor.  Burial was in the 
Mt. Carmel Church cemetery.
