Hill & Co. Funeral Home, Suffolk, Tuesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Harold Rumfelt of Windsor Baptist Church. Burial was in Windsor Cemetery. The family was at the home of Mrs. Burrell D. Roberts in Windsor. Pallbearers were Milton Hedgepeth, Robert Thippins, Shirley Foster, Cleveland Foster, Johnnie W. Hedgepeth, Larry Hedgepeth, Floyd Hedgepeth, Russell S. Hedgepeth, Livy Turner and George Hedgepeth. Hedgepeth, 64, died Sunday at 12:05 a.m. in his home after a long illness. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a member of Colosse Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer. He was a son of George Allen and Mrs. Nannie Otelia Darden Hedgepeth and the husband of Mrs. Sarah Estelle Holland Hedgepeth. Besides his widow, surviving are three daughters, Mrs. C. R. Nelms, Mrs. David Holland, and Mrs. Burrell D. Roberts of Windsor; three sons, Ernest E. Hedgepeth and George Everett Hedgepeth of Windsor, and Hubert H. Hedgepeth of Suffolk; three sisters, Mrs. Lee Phippins of Isle of Wight County, Mrs. Hester B. Foster of Suffolk, and Mrs. Jack Foster of Windsor; four brothers, W.W. Hedgepeth of Windsor, Lonnie F. Hedgepeth, Darden W. Hedgepeth, and Burlee Hedgepeth of Zuni; and nine grandchildren.
