Cutchins on Route 1, Franklin. He was the widower of Sarah Parker Hedgepeth and son of Elijah and Eddie Spivey Hedgepeth of Isle of Wight County, and a member of Colosse Baptist Church and the Men’s Bible Class. He is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Edith Stutts of Suffolk, and Mrs. Mildred H. Darden of Carrsville; five sons, C.W. Hedgepeth of New Jersey, C.L. Hedgepeth of Zuni, J.I. Hedgepeth of Suffolk, L.L. Hedgepeth of Carrsville and W.L. Hedgepeth of West Norfolk; 31 grandchildren and 36 great- grandchildren. A funeral was conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in Colosse Baptist Church by the Rev. Donald T. Trump, pastor. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
