THOMAS GOODE HEDGEPETH

   FRANKLIN - Thomas Goode Hedgepeth,  87, retired Isle of Wight County 
farmer, died Saturday at 10:20 a.m. in the home of his daughter, Mrs. D.M. 
Cutchins on Route 1, Franklin.

   He was the widower of Sarah Parker Hedgepeth and son of Elijah and Eddie 
Spivey Hedgepeth of Isle of Wight County, and a member of Colosse Baptist 
Church and the Men’s Bible Class.

   He is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Edith Stutts of Suffolk, and 
Mrs. Mildred H. Darden of Carrsville; five sons, C.W. Hedgepeth of New Jersey, 
C.L. Hedgepeth of Zuni, J.I. Hedgepeth of Suffolk, L.L. Hedgepeth of 
Carrsville and W.L. Hedgepeth of West Norfolk; 31 grandchildren and 36 great-
grandchildren.

   A funeral was conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in Colosse Baptist Church by the 
Rev. Donald T. Trump, pastor.  Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
