Hedgepeth Dies at Home; Rites Tomorrow FRANKLIN - Thomas Goode Hedgepth, 87, of Isle of Wight County, died yesterday at 10:20 a.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. D.M. Cutchins, Route 2, Franklin, after a short illness. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Colosse Baptist Church by the Rev. Donald E. Trump, pastor. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk. The body will be taken from the Hill Funeral Home to the church at 12:30 p.m. Monday. A member of Colosse Baptist Church and the Men's Bible Class of the church, he was the husband of the late Sarah Parker Hedgepeth, and son of the late Elijah [sic; Isaac*] and Eddie Spivey Hedgepeth [sic; Hedgebeth] of Isle of Wight County. Besides Mrs. Cutchins, with whom he made his home, he is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Edith Stutts of Suffolk, and Mrs. Mildred Darden of Carrsville; five sons, C.W. Hedgepeth of New Jersey, C.L. Hedgepeth of Zuni, James O. Hedgepeth of West Norfolk, 31 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. ****************************************************************************** THOMAS GOODE HEDGEPETH FRANKLIN - Thomas Goode Hedgepeth, 87, retired Isle of Wight County farmer, died Saturday at 10:20 a.m. in the home of his daughter, Mrs. D.M. Cutchins on Route 1 [sic; 2], Franklin. He was the widower of Sarah Parker Hedgepeth and son of Elijah [sic; Isaac] and Eddie Spivey Hedgepeth [sic; Hedgebeth] of Isle of Wight County, and a member of Colosse Baptist Church and the Men's Bible Class.
