Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sarah Jane Holland; two daughters, Mrs. L.H. Joyner, and Mrs. George M. Joyner, both of Windsor; an adopted daughter, Mrs. H.H. Butler; a son, J. Walter Holland of Windsor; a brother, M.R. Holland, an aunt Mrs. Rebecca Vellines and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Central Hill Church Wednesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. H.E. Crutchfield. Burial was in the church cemetery.
