James H. Holland Of Carrsville Died Fri., July 15 

  James Harrison Holland, 65, a retired carpenter of Nsnsemond County, 
formerly of Portsmouth, died Friday, July 15, at the home of Tilghman Jenkins 
near Carrsville. 

  He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Holland of Nansemond County and was a 
member of South Quay Baptist Church. 

  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Edith Pickett Holland, of Florida; three sons, 
James H. Holland Jr. of Portsmouth; Arnold E. Holland of Jacksonville, Fla.; 
and Glenn Allen Holland, USN; one daughter, Mrs. Leahfaye Erkinson of Idaho 
Falls, Idaho; nine grandchildren, and one brother, John Holland of Franklin. 

  Funeral services were held Monday at the Holland & Sons Funeral Home, 
Franklin.  Burial was in South Quay Baptist Cemetery.
