All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ MARY MAGDALENE IVEY HOLLAND Mrs. Mary Magdalene Ivey Holland, 86, died Sunday, Sept. 3, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frances Nancy of Kannapolis, N.C. The widow of Thomas C. Holland, and a daughter of Benjamin B. and Frances Newton Ivey of Southampton County, she was a native of Isle of Wight County and had lived at Kannapolis two years. She was a member of High Street Methodist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Nance, two sons, Ivey Holland of Appomattox and James W. Holland of Franklin; two step-daughters, Mrs. R.A. Cox of Smithfield and Miss Dell Holland of Richmond; three step-sons, Thomas C. Holland, Jr., Jack W. Holland and T. Hayes Holland of Franklin; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a nephew Willie b. Ivey of Newsoms. A funeral service was conducted in W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Gilliam C. Bentley of High Street Methodist Church and the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, Jr., of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Burial was in Beaver Dam Church cemetery. Mary Magdalene (IVEY; Mrs. Thomas C.)
