She was the wife of Wilson Staley Holland. The daughter of Elvin H. and Mrs. Mary Lou Lankford Whitley of Isle of Wight County. Mrs. Holland was a member of the Mt. Carmel Christian Church. Besides her husband and parents she is survived by one daughter, Gloria Emeline Holland, and one sons, Wilson Staley Holland, Jr., both of Walters; and by two brothers, Elvin H. Whitley, Jr., of Franklin and Charles Roland Whitley of Carrsville. Funeral services for Mrs. Holland were conducted at four o'clock on Monday afternoon at Mt. Carmel Church by Rev. Jack Boyles, pastor of Colosse Baptist Church, assisted by Rev. C.E. Gerringer of Newport News and Rev. Arnold Blunt of Kempsville. Burial was in the Mt. Carmel cemetery, the active pallbearers being Jasper Carr, Leonard Rose, R.L. Miles, Johnny Stephens, Leamus Carr. Dr. Ivan Steele, Claude Curry and Clyde Vaughan.
