WILLIAM H. HOLLAND 

  SMITHFIELD - William Herman Holland, 67, died Thurday in his home near 
Windsor. 

  A native of Nansemond County, he was a son of Joseph H. and Mrs. Anne Eley 
Holland and the husband of Mrs. Ruth E. Holland. 

  He was a Baptist and a retired salesman.  He was a Silver Star veteran of 
World War I and a member of Smith Volunteers of Suffolk and Smithfield 
American Legion Post. 

  Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Katherine E. Edwards of 
Isle of Wight County; four brothers, Eugene R. Holland, Jasper W. Holland, 
Rodman E. Holland, and Morrison H. Holland of Windsor; two sisters, Mrs. G.R. 
Elliott of Richmond and Mrs. James Melito Sr. of Suffolk; and five 
grandchildren. 

  A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today (Sunday) in St. Luke's 
Memorial Cemetery by the Rev. W.A. Grissom.  The family will meet at the 
Bullock Funeral Home at 2 p.m. 

  In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that contributions be made to 
Patrick Henry Hospital, Newport News.
