Hines, 64, of Suffolk, died at 1:40 a.m. today at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R.L. Robinson, near Windsor, Isle of Wight county. Mr. Hines was taken ill while visiting his daughter and death came quickly. The body was brought to the Hines residence at 204 York street today to await funeral services, which will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. The Rev. Dr. John G. Truitt will conduct rites at the home and at the graveside in Mt. Carmel church cemetery, near Walters. Surviving Mr. Hines are his widow, Mrs. Emma Hines; four daughters, Mrs. L.J. Carr, Miss Mary V. Hines and Mrs. P.A. Powell, all of Suffolk, and Mrs. R.L. Robinson, of Isle of Wight; two sons, J.P. Hines, of Williamsburg, and J.M. Hines, Jr., of Buffalo, N.Y. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. J.M. Bryant and Mrs. P.H. Staylor, and a brother, A.L. Hines, of Suffolk; 10 grandchildren and other relatives. His son Joseph Presley HINES' D.Cert. 70-012927 & daughter Elizabeth (HINES; Mrs. James E.) BROCKWELL's D.Cert. 75-010323 both gives their father as Jodie Mansfield HINES.
