MARK DENNIS HARVELL 

   WAKEFIELD - A graveside funeral service for Mark Dennis Harvell was conducted 
at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Mill Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. L.P. 
Bland and the Rev. R.L. Consolvo. Purviance Funeral Home was in charge.

   Harvell, 86, died Sunday in a Petersburg hospital after a long illness.

   A native of Southampton County, he was a son of Ransom D. and Mrs. Nancy 
Branch Harvell and the husband of Mrs. Nancy Lawrence Harvell.

   He was a retired farmer and a Baptist.

   Besides his widow, surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Vernon H. Clarke of 
Wakefield; three brothers, A.G. Harvell of Norfolk, R.L. Harvell of Wakefield, 
and R.S. Harvell of Florence S.C.; two sisters, Mrs. W.A. Beale of Waverly and 
Mrs. Nannie H. Smith of Wakefield; and a grandson.
