EFFIE BRASWELL WHITLEY HARPER

   Windsor - Mrs. Effie Braswell Whitley Harper, 69, died Saturday at 6 a.m. in 
Obici Memorial Hospital.

   She was the wife of Issac D. Harper and daughter of the late Joe and Mrs. 
Ballie Butler Braswell. 

   She was a member of Antioch Christian Church, Ladies Bible Class and 
Missionary Circle. She was a native of Isle of Wight.

   Other than her husband she is survived by two sons, Stephen J. Whitley of 
Carrollton and Garland S. Whitley of Windsor; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Dickerson 
of Suffolk and Mrs. W.E. Williams of Franklin; and four grandchildren.

   Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the Sidney F. Harrell 
Funeral Home by Rev. R. Lindsey Poteat with burial in Antioch Church Cemetery. 
The family will be at the home of Garland S. Whitley, Route 3, Windsor, Va.
