ALICE L. BRADSHAW HARRISON 

MRS. ALICE HARRISON 

  Mrs. Alice Harrison, 79, well-known resident of Isle of Wight County, died 
Saturday morning at the home of her son, R.T. Harrison, after a short illness. 
She was the daughter of the late Richard and Lottie Rose Bradshaw, of Walters, 
and is survived by three sons, R.T. Harrison of Carrsville; W.H. and John O. 
Harrison, of Norfolk, and one niece Mrs. Norman Beaton of Boykins.

  Funeral services were conducted from the residence near Walter Sunday 
afternoon at 3 o'clock by the Rev. Rufus Corbitt.  Burial was in the family 
cemetery near Walters.

Her husband's obit ("Tidewater News," May 25, 1906, p. 1) states his "burial 
   took place at the J.R. Rose burying ground; a transcript is posted at:

The GSSTF report lists four persons there: John Randolph ROSE (1856 - 1903), 
   his wife Elizabeth (VAUGHAN) ROSE (1858 - 1941), his father John "Jack" 
   ROSE (1805 - 1868) and Mary A. (BRADSHAW) ROSE ("1870" - 1901). 

Find a Grave (Cemetery ID #2552386) lists seven persons there: John Randolph 
   ROSE (1856 - 1903), Elizabeth (VAUGHAN) ROSE (1858 - 1941), John "Jack" 
   ROSE (1805 - 1868), Mary A. (BRADSHAW) ROSE (1870 - 1901), Mary Ann 
   (BRADSHAW) ROSE (1820 - 1889), Lelia A. ROSE (1883 - 1884), and Mary E. 
   ROSE (d. 1880). 

Ancestry.com's Pamela Vaughan family tree (p_vaughan1) gives Jack as John 
   Randolph (Richard) ROSE and his wife as Mary Anne (BRADSHAW) ROSE (1820 - 
   1901), daughter of Amos & Mary (CORBETT) BRADSHAW. 

At any rate, Jack's daughter Charlotte "Lottie" (ROSE; Mrs. Richard) BRADSHAW 
   (1838 - 1912) was the Alice's mother. 

Find a Grave lists Charles & Alice in the Harrison Family Cemetery, Walters 
   (Cemetery ID #2732872).  (Memorials #228701599 & #228701392). 

The GSSTF lists a HARRISON family cemetery (#172) off Outland "Rd." {IWCHS} / 
   Outland Dr. (Rt. 612) {Google} , though it's closer to Carrsville 
   than Walters.  There is no report posted, but the description states, 
   "... had been plowed over with nothing but bricks visible."
