Harrison, who has been a resident of Franklin for the past eight years, died at St. Vincent's Hospital, Wednesday morning the 23rd. His body was brought home on the 11:15 A.M. Southern train Wednesday and the burial took place at the J.R. Rose burying ground in Isle of Wight county, Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Thos. R. Reeves, of the Methodist Church, conducted the services. The pall bearers were: Messrs. W.H. Jenkins, E.S. Eley, T.F. Butter, A.T. Vick, B. Drake, W.W. Wooly, A.J. Lankford, T.E. Beale. He is survived by his widow and four children. (BRADSHAW) ROSE ("1870" - 1901). Find a Grave (Cemetery ID #2552386) lists seven persons there: John Randolph ROSE (1856 - 1903), Elizabeth (VAUGHAN) ROSE (1858 - 1941), John "Jack" ROSE (1805 - 1868), Mary A. (BRADSHAW) ROSE (1870 - 1901), Mary Ann (BRADSHAW) ROSE (1820 - 1889), Lelia A. ROSE (1883 - 1884), and Mary E. ROSE (d. 1880). Ancestry.com's Pamela Vaughan family tree (p_vaughan1) gives Jack as John Randolph (Richard) ROSE and his wife as Mary Anne (BRADSHAW) ROSE (1820 - 1901), daughter of Amos & Mary (CORBETT) BRADSHAW. At any rate, Jack's daughter Charlotte "Lottie" (ROSE; Mrs. Richard) BRADSHAW (1838 - 1912) was the mother of Alice (BRADSHAW) HARRISON, Charles' wife. There is no report posted, but the description states, "... had been plowed over with nothing but bricks visible."
