All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Formar Area Pastor Dies in Norfolk Dr. Stanley Claudius Harrell, of Durham, N.C., died unexpectedly yesterday morning at 5:30 a.m. at the home of his brother, Jasper Harrell, 238 Oliver Rd., Norfolk. He has served at times the following churches in this area: Bethlehem, Windsor, Antioch, Mt. Carmel and Isle of Wight Courthouse. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alberta Boone Harrell, and a daughter, Mary Ann Harrell, of Durham; a nephew, William T. Harrell, of Suffolk RFD; four nieces, Mrs. Lewis Horton, Suffolk, RFD, Mrs. Sidney Clinkscales, of Norfolk, Mrs. Fred Story, of Norfolk, and Mrs. Downing Smith of Atlanta, Ga. Dr. Harrell served as pastor of the Durham Christian Church from 1919 until 1954, at which time he became editor of the Christian Sun. He retired from that position the first of this month. The body is being forwarded to Durham where services will be held at 11 o'clock tomorrow morning at the Christian Church there. Rev.
