HEARN BURIED NOV. 26TH IN UZZELLS CEMETERY Mrs. Eva Carter Hearn, 68, died at her home in Buckroe Beach after a long illness. A native of Isle of Wight County, she had lived there and in Nansemond County until about one year ago, when she moved to Buckroe Beach. She was an active member of the Smithfield Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband L.W. Hearn; two sons, L.W. Hearn, Jr., of Balboa, Canal Zone, and Jarvis M. Hearn, of Buckroe Beach; one sister, Mrs. A.C. Jordan, of Richmond; four brothers, P.H. and I.H. Carter, both of Rescue; M.S. Carter of Battery Park, and Richard H. Carter of Port Norfolk; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Bullock Funeral Home, Smithfield, by the Rev. Emory Trainham, pastor of the Smithfield Baptist Church, assisted by the Rev. N.D. Blackman, pastor of the Buckroe Beach Baptist Church. Burial was in Uzzells Church cemetery. Active pallbearers were R.E. Clay, John Godwin, W.H. Gale, Paul Godwin, Mills Godwin, Jr., and Ray Knight. Friends of the family were honorary pallbearers. Eva (CARTER; Mrs. "Flet" Lafayette W.
