HERBERT LINWOOD JONES 

HERBERT JONES SUCCUMBS AT 68 

  SMITHFIELD - Herbert Linwood Jones, 68, died at his home in Isle of Wight 
County Monday morning after a long illness.

  He was retired farmer and a member of Mill Swamp Baptist Church.

  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Minnie Bulls Jones, a daughter, Mrs. Ruby 
Powell of Zuni; five sons, Jessie E. Jones of Franklin, Jack M. Jones and 
Randolph Jones, both of Ivor, Abraham L. Jones of Suffolk and Ray Mack Jones 
of Zuni; a brother, Jerry W. Jones of Ivor; and six sisters, Mrs. Sadie 
Brackett of Newport News, Mrs. Lottie Bell of Elberon, Mrs. Mattie Jones, 
Mrs. Bertha Jones and Mrs. Vergie Wells, all of Ivor, and Mrs. Virginia Jones 
of Windsor

  A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bullock Funeral Home, 
with the Rev. L.S. Smith, pastor of South Quay Baptist Church, officiating.

  Burial will be in Mill Swamp Cemetery.
