Jones, 57, Buried February 18 At Mill Swamp Neil Johnson Jones, 57, a farmer died Thursday, February 16, 1961, in his home near Emporia. He was a native of Isle of Wight County and lived in Surry County most of his life before moving to Emporia about five years ago. He was a son of Sidney and Mrs. Maude Murray Jones of Isle of Wight County. Surviving are three daughters, Miss Bernice Jones, Miss Shirley Jones, and Miss Rose Jones, and one son, John Rose [sic; Jones], all of Suffolk, three sisters, Mrs. Violet Lowe of Sebrell, Mrs. Ruth Lowe of Wakefield and Mrs. Evelyn Berryman of Elberon; one brother, Dennis M. Jones of Smithfield; and two grandchildren. A funeral service was conducted in the Bullock Funeral Home February 18 at 3 P.M. with burial in Mill Swamp Cemetery.
