JONES BURIED SEPT. 23, AT MILL SWAMP Richard Morgan Jones, 73, died September 21, 1956, at his home in Isle of Wight County after a long illness. A well-known farmer, he was the son of the late Henry L. and Mrs. Kiturah Crocker Jones and a lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County. He was a member of Mills Swamp Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ashton Golden, of Smithfield and Mrs. Susie Golden of Ivor; six sons, Henry M. Jones, J. Paul Jones and Leigh Brock Jones all of Ivor; Thomas W. Jones, of Smithfield; Richard W. Jones of Zuni; and Fred B. Jones of Franklin; a sister, Mrs. Rose Buhls, of Hampton; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. at Mill Swamp Baptist Church by the Rev. J.P. Leitner, pastor, assisted by the Rev. J.W. Crocker and the Rev. J.W. Horne, Jr. Burial was in the church cemetery.
