Sidney Jones, 75, Of Ivor Died Thurs., Oct. 30th 

  Sidney Jones, 75, of Ivor, died suddenly Thursday, October 30, while at work.

  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Maude Murryay Jones; two sons, Neil and Dennis 
Jones of Smithfield.  Five daughters, Mrs. Violet Lowe, of Ivor, Mrs. Margaret 
Bell of Surry, Mrs. Ruth Lowe, of Ivor., Mrs. Bertha Simms, of Ivor and Mrs. 
Evelyn Berryman, of Elberon.  One brother, Willie Jones of Smithfield, two 
sisters, Mrs. Annie Thacker and Mrs. Lizzie West, of Smithfield, and fourteen 
grandchildren.

  Funeral services were conducted at the grave in Mill Swamp Cemetery, 
Saturday at 3 p.m. with the pastor, Rev. L.E. Holzbach officiating.

  Nephews served as active pallbearers. 

  The procession left the Jones Funeral Home, Smithfield at 2:30 p.m.

He fell from a hay stack, breaking his neck.  (D.Cert. 23453 {B&I #108}) 

His father, Abraham JONES (1839-1897), is buried in the JONES-DASHIELD 
   family cemetery, Burwell's Bay Rd.  (IWCHS GSSTF report #184)
