All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ WYATT BAGWELL JONES WYATT JONES ACCIDENTLY KILLED IN MONTANA Wyatt Jones son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jones of near Crittenden was fatally injured Sunday July 12 while at work on the large irrigation dam under construction near Fort Peck Montana. According to reports he was injured when he fell thirty feet from a crane, leading on his head. He lived until Wednesday when he succumbed to his injuries. Wyatt spent many years as a resident of Isle of Wight County and served as a school teacher in the county for a short while. He received his education at William and Mary College. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon July 19 in Ivy Hill Cemetary [sic; Cemetery].
