The funeral and interment were held at Mt. Carmel Church yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Dr. D.W. Howard, assisted by Rev. J.W. Fix and Dr. H.E. Cromer of Suffolk. Miss Johnson leaves the following nieces and nephews: Mrs. R.L. Miller of Norfolk, W.H. Johnson, Jr., and Claude Johnson of Suffolk and Joe Johnson of Franklin. He is not found on the rosters of Confederate soldiers from Isle of Wight Co., but he may have served, notwithstanding. Her mother Edith (UNDERWOOD) 2m. 12 Sep 1865 Arthur S. PIERCE. [e.d. 33, sht 37, ln 23] 1910 Census gives Lusana, age 49 (b. ca. 1861); curiously, it also gives her mother, age 69- 6 years after being "deceased" {WB33:750} [2-5-8A (184)] Her Death Certificate (#14330; Franklin #26) gives b.
