A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a son of Charles H Johnson Sr and Mrs Mae Council Johnson and the husband of Mrs Julia Cobb Johnson. He was a treasurer and deacon fo Bethany Presbyterian Church and a member of Blackwater Masonic Lodge 134 and Smithfield Royal Arch Chapter. He was a farmer and automobile salesman. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Charles H. Johnson III, of Richmond; a sister, Mrs Benjamin Presson of Windsor; and four grandsons. A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 pm in Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, by Rev. Erold A Lotridge. Erold A. Lotridge. Burial with Masonic rites was in Meadowbrook Mausoleum, Driver. Pallbearers were C. Morrison Butler, T.M. Carr Jr., Lawrence B. Carr, Dr. E.W. Strickland, Sol Lastinger, Roland Lewis, Eldridge Turner, Claiborne Butler, James C. Anderson, and Fred B. Carr. Johnson, 66, died Friday. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was the son of Charles H. Johnson Sr. and Mrs. Mae Council Johnson and the husband of Mrs. Julia Cobb Johnson.
