CARRIE SPIVEY JOHNSON

   CARRSVILLE - A funeral service was conducted Friday at 2:30 p.m. in W.J.M. 
Holland & Sons Funeral Home.  Burial was in Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were Joe Stephenson, John Robert Crumpler, Howard Story, Tom 
Stephens, Robert Earl Rhodes and Jimmie Rhodes.

   Mrs. Johnson, 73, died Wednesday in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin.

   A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the wife of Claude* R. Johnson 
and a daughter of Jett and Mrs. Margaret Anne Bland Spivey.

   She was a Mormon.

   Besides her husband, surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Nellie Britt of 
Carrsville and Mrs. Berta Smith and Mrs. Edna Story of Handsom; and a son, 
Robert Earl Johnson of Carrsville; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Rose of Suffolk and 
Mrs. Minnie Rhodes of Franklin; a brother, J. Raby Spivey of Suffolk; 10 
grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
