Jenkins, widow of the late T.T. Jenkins of the Carrsville community, died suddenly at Sarah Leigh Hospital, Norfolk, yesterday morning at 11 o’clock. Mrs. Jenkins had been at the hospital for a few weeks for an operation but her death came as a severe and unexpected blow to the members of her family who summoned hurriedly to her bedside yesterday. She was in her 51st year and was a Miss Frost of Norfolk before her marriage to Mr. Jenkins, who died in 1913. She is survived by six children: Mrs. R.E. Futtrelle of Franklin, Thos. Jenkins of Smithfield and Elizabeth, Tilman, Theo and Samuel Jenkins. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Jno. T. Hargrove of Norfolk, and a half-sister, Mrs. Chas. J. Holland of Norfolk. Mrs. Jenkins was a loyal and consistent member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, a kind and indulgent wife and mother, a good neighbor and an exemplary Christian character. Funeral services will be held from Beaver Dam Church this (Friday) afternoon at 4:30 o’clock , conducted by the Pastor, Rev. W.B. Denson, assisted by a former Pastor, Rev. G.R. Pankey of Drake’s Branch. Interment will follow in the family plot in the churchyard cemetery. Grace V. (FROST; Mrs. Thomas T.)
