All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Rites Thursday For Mrs. Iolia [sic; Iola] Johnson Funeral services for Mrs. Iolia Wills Johnson, 77, of Windsor, who died at 7 a.m. today at Louise Obici Hospital after a short illness, will be conducted Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Windsor Baptist Church. Rev. B.A. Riddle, pastor, will officiate, assisted by Rev. J. Sidney Cobb, retired. She was the widow of the late William Robert [sic*] Johnson, and daughter of the late Matthew Wills and Mrs. Richenda Joyner Wills of Southampton County. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. J.H. Johnson of Windsor, Mrs. Bertie I. Cobb of Norfolk and Mrs. Otis Holland of Windsor; two sons, August Jenkins of Suffolk and John Lee Jenkins of Zuni; eleven grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Roxie Nelms of Zuni and Mrs Charlie Robertson of Windsor; three brothers, M.M. Wills of Norfolk, John R. Wills of Suffolk, and T.A. Wills of Windsor; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Windsor Baptist Church. The body will be taken from the Baker Funeral Home to the church one hour before the ceremony. Burial will be in Antioch Christian Church cemetery. ****************************************************************************** Rites Held Today For Mrs. Johnson Funeral services for Mrs. Iolia Wills Johnson, who died on Tuesday after a short illness, were conducted today at 4 p.m. at the Windsor Baptist Church with the Rev. B.A. Riddle, pastor and the Rev. J. Sidney Cobb, retired minister, officiating. Pallbearers were John Lee Jenkins, Billy Holland, Bobby Holland, Raymond Johnson, Frederick Johnson, and Mills Johnson. The pall was of white asters and red carnations. Burial was in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery.
