JODIE JOHNSON IS DEAD AT WALTERS 

Well Known Farmer Succumbs Yesterday Morning 

  WALTERS, Dec. 17. - (Special) - Jodie Johnson, well known farmer here, died 
Wednesday morning at 2 o’clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Reginald 
Payne, at Waverly.  He had been in ill health for several months. 

  Funeral services will be held at Mt. Carmel Christian church Thursday 
afternoon at 2:30.  Burial will be in the church cemetery. 

  Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Reginald Payne, of Waverly; Miss Maggie 
Johnson, of Williamsburg; five sons, J. Sherman Johnson, of Walters, Fenton 
Johnson, of Montrose, Clyde Johnson, of Capron, Frank Johnson, of Zuni, and 
Hugh Johnson.
