He had been in ill health for several months. Funeral services will be held at Mt. Carmel Christian church Thursday afternoon at 2:30. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Reginald Payne, of Waverly; Miss Maggie Johnson, of Williamsburg; five sons, J. Sherman Johnson, of Walters, Fenton Johnson, of Montrose, Clyde Johnson, of Capron, Frank Johnson, of Zuni, and Hugh Johnson.
