LILLIAN COX* JOHNSON

   RICHMOND - Funeral services for Lillian Cox Johnson, 94, were held 
Sunday in Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield by the Rev. A.J. Edwin 
Cleaver.  Burial was in St. Luke’s Memorial Cemetery.

   She was a native of Isle of Wight County and the widow of William 
R. Johnson.  She was a past member of Riverview United Methodist Church 
at Rescue.

   Survivors include a son, William R. Johnson of Grifton, N.C.; and two 
brothers, Leonard E. Cox Sr. of Smithfield and R.E. Cox of Richmond.

Original gave her maiden name as "COCK."  While COCKE is an old family name 
   not uncommon in this area, her maiden name was COX. 
   
Her parents, Robert E. Sr. & Jett L. (MAYNARD) COX are buried there also.
