Harrell Funeral Home by the Revs. W.A Griffins and Lindsey Poteat. Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Johnson died Sunday in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Isle of Wight County and the widow of Bruce K. Johnson. She was a member of the Windsor Congregational Christian Church and the Martha S. Persons Bible Class. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Betty J. Alphin of Windsor; four sisters, Mrs. Mildred G. Chappell of Chesapeake, Mrs. Martha G. Everette of Smithfield, Mrs. Eloise G. Shaw of Norfolk and Mrs. Dorothy G. Beale of Portsmouth; and five brothers, Chesley R. Gwaltney of Baltimore, J. Henry Gwaltney of Virginia Beach, Thomas M. Gwaltney of Richmond, Robert A. Gwaltney of Suffolk and William A. Gwaltney of Windsor; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mary (GWALTNEY; Mrs. Bruce K.)
