Johnson, Jr., (Bob), 80, passed away October 21, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jane Phillips Johnson; daughters, Jane Greer Johnson of Detroit, Mich., Gayle Johnson Middlebrook and her husband, Mark of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Robin Johnson Daniels and her husband, Jim; son, Robert Allen Johnson, III; sister, Betsy Johnson Rawls and her husband, Charles; and six grandchildren. Mr. Johnson was a native of Franklin, Va., and served in the Navy during WWII. He was vice president of sales at Cummins Diesel of Virginia. He was also a member of Branch's Baptist Church and Brotherhood Class and a member and past president of Dale Ruritan Club. His remains rest at Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull St. Rd., where the family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Branch's Baptist Church. Interment 11 a.m. Monday at Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Branch's Baptist Church Building Fund.
