Jenkins, 44, prominent resident of Isle of Wight County, died suddenly Tuesday morning December 4, at 12:30 o’clock at his home near Smithfield. He was the son of the late T.T. and Mrs. Grace Frost Jenkins and was a native of Isle of Wight*. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Gladys Carr Jenkins, two sons, John T. and Cecil T. Jenkins; two daughter, Misses Mary Virginia and Thelma Lee Jenkins, of Isle of Wight; two sisters, Mrs. R.E. Futrelle, of Portsmouth, and Miss Elizabeth Jenkins of Carrsville and S.P. Jenkins USNR. The body was taken to the Funeral Home of Jesse Jones where services were conducted Thursday at 2:30 p.m., with the Rev. Otis L. Gilliam officiating. Burial was in St. Luke’s Cemetery, at Benn’s Church.
