All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ WILLIAM HENRY "BILLY" JOHNSON WINDSOR - William Henry (Billy) Johnson, 92, died at 6 p.m. Friday in Obici Memorial Hospital after a long illness. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was the husband of Ida Batten Johnson and the son of the late Jesse and Mary Spivey Johnson. He was a founder and past president of the Farmers Bank in Windsor and was chairman of the board at the time of his death. He was a resident of B. Avenue in Windsor and was a deacon of the Windsor Baptist Church, a charter member of Windsor Ruritan Club and a member of the Town Council 20 years. Besides his widow, he is survived by half brother, James B. Avis of Carrsville, and two half sisters, Mrs. Cora A. Spivey and Mrs. Ryland G. Lewis of Windsor. A funeral service will be held at the Windsor Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. Harold D. Rumsfelt and the Rev. William A. Grissom. Burial will be in the Windsor Cemetery.
