She was a native of Isle of Wight County. She was a student nurse at Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin, and was a 1976 graduate of Windsor High School. She was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church in Zuni. She also taught Sunday school and sang in the choir there. Survivors include her parents, J. Goode Joyner of Zuni; a sister, Mrs. E.M. Luter of Zuni; a brother, Robert Goode Joyner of Windsor; and a godson, Keith Baker of Windsor. The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Stephen N. Weed. Burial will be in Antioch Church Cemetery near Windsor. Memorial donations may be made to Windsor Rescue Squad or Bethany Presbyterian Church. A native of Isle of Wight County, she was a student nurse at Southampton Memorial Hospital and a 1976 graduate of Windsor High School. She was a member, teacher and choir member of Bethany Presbyterian Church in Zuni. She is survived by her parents, J. Goode Joyner and Ida Thorne Joyner of Zuni; a brother, Robert Goode Joyner of Windsor; a sister, Charlotte J. Luter of Zuni; a godson, Keith Baker of Windsor; a niece and five nephews. A funeral service was held at Bethany Presbyterian Church Monday, and burial was at Antioch Church Cemetery in Windsor with the Rev. Stephen N. Weed officiating. Talmadge Darden was organist and soloist. Memorials can be made to Bethany Presbyterian Church or the Windsor Rescue Squad.
