Edward Thomas Joyner, age 46 years, well known resident of Walters community died while asleep Monday night at the home of his sister, Mrs. Frank Johnson, near Zuni. Mr. Joyner was the son of the late James E.T. and Laura V. Butler Joyner of Walters. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Congregational Christian Church and Woodmen of the World of Walters. Surviving him are three sisters, Mrs. Frank Johnson of Walters, Mrs. Leon Lewis of Zuni and Mrs. William Jennings of Roanoke; one brother, Otis V. Joyner, postmaster of Walters. The body was taken to Holland Funeral Home of Franklin and on Tuesday was taken to Mt. Carmel Christian Church where funeral services were held at two o'clock by Rev. H.E. Crutchfield, with interment in the church cemetery.
