The deceased was the husband of Mrs. Annie Mulder Joyner of Carrsville and the son of the late Richard and Sallie Beaton Joyner of Southampton County. In addition to his wife he is survived by one brother, William C. Joyner of Franklin, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Joyner were conducted by Beaver Dam Baptist Church on Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock by Revs. E.C. Thornton and Jack Boyles, followed by burial in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers were A.R. Butler, J.C. Butler, Sidney Eason, J. Goode Johnson, Jesse Johnson, Lawrence F. Joyner, Billy Kitchen and David Pope.
