Jordan died at Saratoga, N.Y. today.  He was in failing health and had gone to the springs with his wife to recuperate.  Mr. Jordan formerly lived here but recently he has been connected with the packing firm of Kingan & Co. of Richmond.    He was fifty-six years of age.  He was in the Confederate service, and was wounded at the last battle of the Army of Northern Virginia at Sailor's Creek.*    He married Miss Fannie Marshall, of Fauquier county, who survives him and who will accompany the remains to Smithfield for burial.
