Jordan Jr., 82, Head of Moon Engineering NORFOLK - William Francis Jordan Jr., 82, of 1125 Manchester Ave., president and general manager of Moon Engineering Co., and a former Isle of Wight oyster firm operator, died in a hospital Monday. He was the husband of Mrs. Sadie Ferguson Rives Jordan and a son of William Francis and Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Johnson Jordan Sr. He was an auditor for the U.S. Shipping Board from 1919 to 1920 and later established Moon Engineering Co. with Guy Moon and P.N. Gibbings. In 1911 he established the Minga & Jordan oyster business at Battery Park. A native of Isle of Wight County, he had lived here since 1918. He was a Navy veteran of World War I. He was a member of Episcopal Church of Good Shepherd and an alumnus of the Norfolk Division* of the College of William and Mary. He was a member of the Virginia and United States chambers of commerce, Hampton Roads Maritime Association, and Southern States Industrial Council. He was a member of the Chrysler Museum of Arts and Sciences, Hampton Roads Foreign Commerce Association, Friends of Boys Home in Covington, Jamestown Society, and Norfolk Yacht and Country Club, and assistant president of the Virginia Society for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities. He had been listed in "Who's Who in the South and Southwest," "Who's Who in Business and Commerce," and the "National Societ* Directory." Surviving, besides his widow, are three stepsons, Virgil A. Rives, Dr. Aubrey T. Rives, and James T. Rives of Norfolk; two sisters, Miss Ella I. Jordan and Miss S. Elizabeth Jordan of Smithfield; and 10 grandchildren. A funeral service will be held in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Thursday at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Historic St. Luke's Cemetery, Smithfield, at 2:30 p.m.   In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be sent to the William F.
