Keifer, 51, Buried Sat., Feb. 14 At Beaver Dam Ch. John Warren Keifer, 51, well-known resident of Carrsville, died at Raiford Memorial Hospital, in Franklin, Thursday morning, February 12 after a short illness. He was the husband of Mrs. Eva Brett Keifer of Carrsville and the son of the late William M. and Mrs. Susan Keifer of Johnstown, Pa., and an employee of the St. Regis Paper Co. of Franklin. Surviving, besides his wife, are two sons, Robert Keifer of Norfolk and Johnnie Keifer of Carrsville; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Jo Vermette and Miss Diane Keifer, both of Carrsville; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Myra Greene of Richmond, Va.; Mrs. Nellie Jones and Mrs. Lillian Duryea, both of Johnstown. Funeral services were conducted at the Holland Funeral Chapel at Franklin at 2 P.M. Saturday, February 14th, by the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, pastor of the Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. ****************************************************************************** John W. Keifer John Warren Keifer, age 51, well-known resident of Carrsville, died at Raiford Memorial Hospital early Thursday morning, Feb. 12, after a short illness. He was the husband of Mrs. Eva Brett Keifer of Carrsville, and the son of the late William M. and Susan Keifer of Johnstown, Penn. He was a member of the Friends Meeting House, of Johnstown, Penn, and an employee of the St. Regis Paper Company of Franklin. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Robert Keifer, of Norfolk, and Johnnie Keifer, of Carrsville; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Jo Varmette, and Miss Diane Keifer, both of Carrsville; two grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Myra Greene, Richmond, Mrs. Nellie Jones, and Mrs. Lillian Duryea, both of Johnstown, Penn., and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held from the Holland Funeral Chapel Saturday at 2:00 p.m., by the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, pastor of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Daughtrey, James A. Surace, Oscar Gray, L.J. Sanford, Curtis Rhodes and H.L. Lowe.
