King Ollie Sidney King Jr., 70, of Rescue, died Monday, May 26, at his residence. Mr. King was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church, Smithfield, and a native of Isle of Wight County. He was a member of the Smithfield Masonic Lodge Union #18 and had served as a Past Master. He was retired from the Norfolk Naval Ship Yard Electrical Department. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Helen Haverty King; two daughters, Mrs. Helen King Ferguson of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Linda King McGwire of Washington, D.C.; a son, Ollie S. King, III, of Rescue; a sister, Mrs. May Railey of Suffolk; a brother, Lloyd N. King of Rescue; six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Graveside services were held Wednesday, May 28, 1980 at 11 a.m. in St. Luke's Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Macon Walton officiated. The family requested that donations be made to the Christ Episcopal Church, the Isle of Wight Rescue Squad or the American Cancer Society. Colonial Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
