Knight, died last night at her home in Norfolk County after a long illness. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Helen Jean Knight, Norfolk County; five sisters, Mrs. P.L. Stanley, Portsmouth; Mrs. G.W. Edwards, Windsor; Mrs. L.E. Bassett, South Norfolk; Mrs. C.H. Gay, Smithfield, and Mrs. C.L. Gay, Zuni; and four brothers, Richard Griggs, Chuckatuck; Sidney Griggs, Windsor; Floyd [sic; Thaddeus Lemuel] Griggs, Norfolk, and John T. Griggs, of South Norfolk. The body was taken to the Hill Funeral Home where it will remain until 2:15 p.m. Sunday at which time the funeral procession will leave for Antioch Christian Church. Services will he held at 3 p.m. by Rev. Fred T. Wright. Burial will be in the church cemetery. *brother Thaddeus Lemuel GRIGGS omitted ****************************************************************************** Rites Held For Mrs. Effie Knight Funeral services for Mrs. Effie Jane Knight, of Norfolk County, were conducted yesterday afternoon at the Antioch Christian Church with Rev. T. Fred Wright officiating. The church choir, accompanied by Mrs. W.W. Saunders, sang, "Safe In the Arms of Jesus," "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Jesus Savior of My Soul." The pall was of white gladioli and pink asters and active pallbearers were C.L., Herbert, George R. and Silas Gay and W.G. Edwards. Burial was in the church cemetery.
