ANNIE BLANCHE WHITLEY LOWE 

Mrs. Blanche Lowe Buried Sunday in Uzzells Cemetery 

  Mrs. Annie Blanche Lowe, 61, died Thursday night, December 30, 1954, at the 
home of her son, Linwood L. Lowe, in Norfolk after a long illness. 

  A native of Isle of Wight County, Mrs. Lowe was a member of Whitehead's 
Grove Baptist Church.  She was the widow of Linwood L. Lowe.

  She is survived by two other son, [sic; sons,] John O. Lowe of Norfolk; and 
H. Ray Lowe of Smithfield; three daughters, Mrs. C.R. Sawyer of Norfolk; Mrs. 
Elwood Livtrman, [sic; Liverman,] of Washington, D.C. and Mrs. Harold Lankford 
of Windsor; a sister, Mrs. Fletcher Edwards, of Smithfield; two half-sisters, 
Mrs. J.E. Bowers and Mrs. R.E. Larrimore, both o [sic] Warwick; a brother, D.G. 
Whitley of Driver; a half-brother, Robert T. Whitley of Boston, Mass.; and ten 
grandchildren and one great grandchild.

  Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 2:30 P.M. in Whitehead's Grove 
Baptist Church.  Burial was in Uzzells Church Cemetery.  The body was taken 
from the Bullock Funeral Home to the church at 1 o'clock. 

  Services were conducted by the Rev. Jesse H. King Jr., pastor, and Rev. 
A.W.H. Jones. 

  Active pallbearers were Jesse V. Oliver, Seth Lankford, Paul S. Cutchin, 
Quincy B. Gilliam, J.H. Smith and H.Z. Bailey.
