RUSSELL LANDON LOWE

   WAKEFIELD - Funeral services for Russell Landon Lowe, 65, were held 
Thursday at Purviance Funeral Home.

   Pallbearers were Paul Barrett, J.B. Lowe, W. Edgar Lowe, Wilroy 
Stephenson, Paul Branch, Roland Newsom, J.H. Stephenson, James C. Joyner 
and J.C. Romines.

   Mr. Lowe died Tuesday afternoon in his home.  A native of Southampton 
County, he was a son of William S. and Mrs. Lula Raiford Lowe and the 
husband of Mrs. Ruth Jones Lowe.

   He was a member of Corinth Friends Meeting and a retired farmer.

   Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Joseph A. Collins 
of Portsmouth; two sons, Earl R. Lowe and Tony M. Lowe of Wakefield; two 
brothers, Jesse L. Lowe of Ivor and Willie K. Lowe of Zuni; three sisters, 
Mrs. Bertie Hill of Norfolk, Mrs. Russell C. Knapp of Ivor, and Mrs. Kent 
L. Bradshaw of Burdette; and five grandchildren.
