All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ William Lowe WALTERS - William Ballard Lowe, 70, of 28109 Walters Hwy., died Nov. 17, 1993, in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin. A native of Walters, he was the son of the late William Drew Lowe and Maggie Odell Ballard Lowe. He had retired in 1979 as a sheet metal worker at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard Shop No. 17 after 37 years. Lowe was a member of Antioch Congregational Christian Church, Windsor. He was a former Sunday School teacher, deacon and member of the Trustee Committee. Lowe was a member of the Woodmen of the World. He was a Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Harriet Rhodes Lowe; a daughter, Linda L. Jenkins of Windsor; a son, David E. Lowe of Franklin; three sisters, Helen L. Duck of Carrsville, Jessie L. Cobb of Sedley and Mable L. Lowe of Ivor; a brother, Stanley G. Lowe of Walters; three grandchildren, Stacy Lowe, Jeffrey Lowe and Christopher Jenkins; and an aunt, Elizabeth G. Ballard of Nashville, Tenn. The funeral will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. by the Revs. Donald B. Woodby, Victor I. Hunter and Randy J. Wooden in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home. Burial will be in Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of Mrs. J.L.
